These limited edition Coca-Cola UAAP bottles with eye-catching designs are inspired by the competing UAAP squads - the Adamson Falcons, Ateneo Blue Eagles, De La Salle Green Archers, Far Eastern University Tamaraws, National University Bulldogs, University of the East Red Warriors, University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons and the University of Santo Tomas Growling Tigers.

Through the partnership of the two global brands which have been part of Filipino lives for years, the iconic contour bottle gets a modern spin, vividly capturing the unique character of each team through the hip colors and emblems of their universities. Last September 12, 2009 in Jollibee Roosevelt, Ortigas, the Coca-Cola UAAP bottles were officially presented before media partners in true UAAP fashion. As soon as guests entered the venue, they were immediately greeted by upbeat pep squad jingles. In no time, renowned sports commentator Anthony Suntay then welcomed everyone with a few teasers about the promo. This was followed by the inspiring messages from the masterminds behind the refreshing collaboration, Sean Cunial, Commercial and Franchise Director of the Coca-Cola Company and Gold Tantoco, Vice President for Marketing of Jollibee.

"As a major supporter of the UAAP for two consecutive seasons now, we're happy to team up with Coca-Cola in offering these Coca-Cola UAAP bottles to all our Jollibee customers across the country. These collectible bottles will surely appeal not just to students but UAAP fans of all ages who are avid supporters of these squads," Jollibee VP for Marketing Gold Tantoco said.

The promo mechanics were then relayed by the Coca-Cola Company's Group Business Development Manager Cherry Masipag-Moran said it was the first time for both brands to capitalize on a great annual tradition such as the UAAP where enthusiasts come together as hardcore rivals in the sports arena but are one in the spirit of fun.

When the time came for the grand unveiling, UAAP star athletes came out one by one proudly carrying the Coca-Cola UAAP bottles and bearing their school's pride with all joy and gusto. This was followed by the playing of the exciting promo commercial then the eight student representatives recited the "Open Bonding, Open Happiness Oath". The oath signifies their commitment to uphold the value of true sportsmanship throughout the season and to continually open avenues for happiness among one another.
